We are here to help. If you or your family have been impacted by COVID-19, and need financial support, we are ready to provide assistance and discuss solutions that may be available to you during this unprecedented pandemic crisis. Skip A Payment Program - We’re waiving the application fee on our Skip A Payment program and extended the offer to include ONELine, our home equity loans and credit cards, in addition to our vehicle and personal loans.
Certificate Withdrawal - We're waiving the "Early Withdrawal Penalty Fee", if you need to request a withdrawal from your CommonWealth One Share Certificate(s).
VISA Credit Card Assistance Programs - For an emergency credit card limit increase or skip-payment options, call 1-866-820-5871 to request "Emergency Assistant Services."
Mortgage Assistance Programs - Your CommonWealth One mortgage servicer, Midwest Loan Services, can assist you with mortgage payment relief. For assistance, please visit their website here.
Student Loan Assistance - Through our partnership with LendKey Private Student Loan Services, we have special programs to assist borrowers with student loans experiencing hardship. Call 888-549-9050 to discuss available solutions.
Branch Operations
On Friday, May 29, Virginia Governor Northam signed an Executive Order making it a requirement to wear a face covering while inside buildings, this includes those who have received the COVID-19 vaccination. Any individual entering the branch or administrative offices must wear a mask or face covering. The number of members allowed in the branch at any given time will be limited to five. We ask all members to observe and respect the social distancing measures while in the branch, this includes those who have received the COVID-19 vaccination. Any individual entering the branch must wear a mask or face covering. If you are unable to wear a face mask or covering and need assistance, please contact us at (800) 424-3334.
Currently, our Main and Richmond Highway Branches in Alexandria, VA, and Harrisonburg Regional and JMU Branches in Harrisonburg, VA are open. Walk-ins for member service assistance are welcome; however, you can control your wait time by scheduling an an appointment with a member service representative.
