Created by the Alexandria Health Department and Visit Alexandria, the ALX Gold Program launched in May 2021 with the goal of helping to keep employees and patrons in Alexandria safe and assisting local organizations to recover from the effects of the pandemic.  CommonWealth One successfully completed the best-in-class safety and training program and immediately implemented the recommended protocols to reduce the risks of COVID-19.

CommonWealth One is being recognized for seamlessly adopting and enforcing the ALX Promise Gold safety standard, including:

  • Thoroughly cleaning and sanitizing the credit union;
  • Ensuring its staff is trained and updated on COVID-19 precautions, state guidelines, and safety measures;
  • Keeping current on health guidance as Alexandria moves forward;
  • Offering employees paid time off to get tested if they feel sick, and to be vaccinated against COVID-19; and,
  • Working with the Alexandria Health Department to stop the spread of COVID-19 and ensuring any exposed staff or customers are notified.

“We are honored to receive the ALX Promise Gold award.  It serves as a testament to our steadfast commitment and dedication throughout the pandemic to provide a safe environment for our employees to work and for our members to bank with us without any interruption to the quality of service and the financial resources we provide.”  said Frank Wasson, CEO.
