Dozens of people in Virginia have warm coats for the coming winter thanks to the generosity of CommonWealth One Federal Credit Union members.
CommonWealth One Federal Credit Union collected more than 60 warm coats for those in need in the Alexandria and Harrisonburg, Virginia communities during the credit union’s 12th annual Warm Hearts Coat Drive.
For the past several years, CommonWealth One has accepted donations of new and gently used coats at several of its branches for children and adults who need them as the holiday season approaches and temperatures drop. CommonWealth One members have donated hundreds of coats over the past several years.
CommonWealth One has a strong commitment to supporting the communities it serves and the members who live there. CommonWealth One not only supports local charities during the holiday giving season, but also throughout the year.
The coats were donated to ECHO – Ecumenical Community Helping Others in Springfield and The Mercy House in Harrisonburg.
